My name is Hayley, I am a Registered general nurse (RGN) and qualified Health Visitor currently working for a busy NHS trust in the North East of England. My Health visiting career began in 2007 when I undertook a degree in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting) from which I gained a 1st class honours degree. Health visitors are specialist trained nurses (or Midwives) who are trained to provide support and advice to parents and families in the community setting to improve the health outcomes for children as recommended by the national Child Health Promotion Programme.
For many years now I have had a special interest in women’s health, fitness and general wellbeing.
I am trained in child health education and health promotion and I am able to assess the development of babies, infants and young children with a view to provide advice and support to help each parent to meet the identified health needs of their baby/child.
Being part of the Eden team means that I am able to offer support to clients to help them focus upon their personal health needs and facilitate their change process to help them to develop healthier lifestyles and overall longevity.
